Here's Dave playing
a
Baldwin Style D banjer
back in about the
10th grade.

"Well...lessee" says Dave
"That was at Aide's Dept.
Store in Mt.
Hope a million years ago.  I
was playing there
with
Rex and Eleanor Parker."

This was from our October gig at Tamarack's
Sunday's at Two show. We had a pretty
good turnout and a very receptive crowd.
Thanks to award winner
Lew Whitener
for the photos.
I was rumaging through some stuff and found an
oldie.  This is an old poloroid taken at Rosine, KY
back in the 70's when I played with Hylo Brown at
Bill Monroe's birthday party in the beginning of my
senior year in high school.  Hey... look!  I had
hair!!!   This is the festival where Monroe told me
that if I had the opportunity to go to college that I
ought to do it because, as he put it, "The
Bluegrass will always be here for you son".
